Leisure Services Planning & ManagementThis is one of the principle activities of the Ontario office of the RETHINK GROUP, and has been since our inception in 1979. We are asked to conduct research, complete plans, design and deliver workshops and training for staff and volunteers, and provide our seasoned advice. Most of our planning work comprises: community strategic plans and master plans, facility feasibility studies and provision strategies, input into park design, trails and waterfront planning, and many types of specialized studies. We are also well known for our research and publishing rergarding leisure trends and the benefits of parks and leisure. Strategic Business Planning and VisioningThe RETHINK GROUP has completed dozens of strategic plans and 'visioning and strategic first steps' exercises for a wide range of mostly government and non-profit clients in leisure services, health, education, police services, municipalities and Councils, YMCAs, seniors and youth organizations, conservation authorities, and Parks Canada. Designing and Facilitating Public and Stakeholder ConsultationA crucial component of most planning exercises is finding effective ways to solicit input informed from clients and test emerging ideas and plans. The RETHINK GROUP has pioneered numerous techniques to get the right people to the table and process that ensure everyone is heard. We have conducted small, focused sessions, and forums and search conferences with up to 200 people. Revitalizing Volunteer Resources and ServicesThrough hands-on consulting, workshops, training sessions, teaching, and resource development, the RETHINK GROUP provides assistance, information and training directly to volunteers, as well as national and provincial organizations, government agencies and non-profit groups who work with and support volunteers. |
